Elle veut vivre enfin, quitter sa ville, son pays. C’est pourquoi elle part en Autriche. Là bas, à l’étranger, en Occident, elle trouve un emploi... pour le perdre bientôt. Elle est d’abord aide ménagère dans une villa cossue, puis femme de ménage dans un service de gériatrie. La seconde est l’histoire de Paul, un jeune Autrichien. Après une période de chômage, il trouve enfin un emploi de vigile...".
